Terms of Service

By accessing this website, purchasing a session, downloading a product, subscribing, or sending a tip, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live), that you can form a binding agreement, and that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or its services.

I currently offer a small number of things, and may add or remove offerings over time:

• Paid Sessions. A single, one-on-one conversation of up to sixty (60) minutes, by video call ("the Session"), paid in advance through Stripe. The Session is informal and unstructured. We talk about whatever you'd like, within reason. It is a one-time, standalone conversation. Booking a Paid Session does not, by itself, create any ongoing engagement or retainer relationship.
• Digital products & downloads. Free guides, lead magnets, and any future paid digital products, delivered through Gumroad or similar platforms. See Section 7.
• Tips & support. Voluntary tips and donations through Ko-fi. See Section 8.
• Newsletter. A free (and potentially paid) newsletter through Substack.
• Retainer Engagements. Ongoing, project-based work arranged directly between you and me, governed entirely by a separate written agreement signed by both parties ("the Contract"). No retainer engagement begins, and no terms are binding on either party, until both parties have executed the Contract. A preliminary conversation (a "fit call") does not constitute a Contract and creates no obligations on either side. These Terms apply to general use of this site; the Contract governs the specific scope, deliverables, cadence, payment schedule, and cancellation terms of the engagement. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with a signed Contract, the Contract controls with respect to that engagement.

Everything I offer (the site, Sessions, products, downloads, newsletter, and tools) is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It reflects my personal opinions and experience.

Nothing here or said in a Session constitutes professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, mental-health, or engineering advice, and no professional-client relationship is formed. You should consult a qualified, licensed professional before making decisions based on anything I provide. You are solely responsible for what you do with the information.

I sell, deliver, and collect through independent third-party platforms and payment processors, including Stripe (paid Sessions), Gumroad (digital products and downloads), Ko-fi (tips and support), and Substack (newsletter and any paid subscription). When you pay, subscribe, or download through one of these, you also agree to that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy.

These providers operate independently of me. Their terms, fees, features, security, and availability are set by them, are subject to change at any time, and are outside my control. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay; prices may change for future purchases without notice. I do not receive or store your full card or payment details. The processor handles that directly. See the Privacy Policy for what limited information I do receive.

I am not responsible for a processor's or platform's acts, omissions, fees, outages, errors, security incidents, or data practices. If a payment, charge, refund, chargeback, delivery, or subscription issue is something the platform controls, you will generally need to resolve it with that platform under its own terms. I will help where I reasonably can, but I cannot guarantee the availability, uptime, or continued operation of any third-party platform.

I do my best to follow the policies, terms & conditions of the platforms and services I use, and cannot guarantee they will not change. I do not control the policies, terms & conditions of the platforms I use, and they are subject to change. I will do my best to update my own policies, terms & conditions accordingly, but since I am an independent creator, there may be a lag. Always be sure to read the full terms & conditions of any platforms or services you use, and always consult the relevant licensed professionals before making any decisions.

You schedule your own Session. After payment, you will be directed to my online scheduling page, where it is your responsibility to choose an available day and time. Your Session is not scheduled until you complete this step. If you do not book a time, please reach out using the contact options below and I'll help you get scheduled.

It is your responsibility to attend the time you booked, with a working internet connection and the video-call link provided. Please add the appointment to your own calendar so you don't miss it.

• Paid Sessions are non-refundable, except where required by law or where I cancel. No-shows (you miss your booked time and don't attend) are forfeited with no refund. Need to reschedule? Life happens. Email [email protected] or message me on Instagram or Threads, and I'll do my best to accommodate a new time, subject to availability. Reschedules are a courtesy and are not guaranteed. If I cancel, you'll be offered a reschedule or a full refund, your choice.
• Paid digital products are delivered instantly and are non-refundable once delivered, unless the item was materially different from how it was described. If that happens, contact me within 30 days and I'll make it right.
• Free items (free guides, lead magnets, etc.) are provided at no charge, so there is nothing to refund.
• Tips and donations are voluntary and non-refundable. See Section 8.
• Retainer Engagements are governed solely by the signed Contract between the parties. Cancellation rights, refund amounts, and the method for calculating earned versus unearned portions of any payment are set out in that Contract. These Terms do not override or supplement Contract terms with respect to retainer payments or cancellations. If no Contract has been signed, no payment has been made and there is nothing to refund.

Any refund I do issue is processed back through the original platform or processor to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear.

Some products and downloads are free (for example, free guides and lead magnets); others may be paid. Free items are provided at no charge as a courtesy, "as is," with no purchase required and no obligation on my part. I may change, update, or stop offering any free item at any time, and I don't guarantee any item will remain available.

When you obtain a digital product or download, free or paid, I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own personal or internal use. You may not resell it, redistribute it, sublicense it, or present it as your own. I retain all rights I don't expressly grant. Refund treatment for paid digital goods is described in Section 6.

Tips and donations (for example, through Ko-fi) are entirely voluntary. They support my work and do not purchase goods, services, or guaranteed deliverables of any kind. Because they are voluntary gifts, no refund right exists for tips. All tip transactions are processed by the platform under its own terms.

Sessions and interactions are meant to be friendly and productive. I reserve the right to end a Session or decline service without refund if you are abusive, threatening, harassing, or unlawful in conduct, or if you ask me to help with anything illegal or harmful. Mutual respect is the baseline.

I'll treat what you share in a Session as private and won't repeat identifying details publicly. However, because a Session is an informal conversation and not a licensed professional engagement, it does not carry any formal legal privilege (such as attorney-client or doctor-patient confidentiality). Please don't share anything you need protected by such privilege.

Any tools, scripts, or software linked or described on this site, or included in a product, are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Use them at your own risk. I am not responsible for data loss, system damage, or any other harm resulting from their use.

This site links to third-party platforms (Substack, Spotify, YouTube, GitHub, Instagram, Threads, Gumroad, Ko-fi, Stripe, and others). I am not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Links do not imply endorsement beyond "I use this."

Any affiliate links or compensated/sponsored work will be clearly disclosed.

My total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid me, if any, for the specific item the claim is about, which is $0 for free content and free downloads.

If your misuse of the site, a product, a download, a tool, or a Session, or your violation of these Terms or of the law, causes a claim against me by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable costs I incur as a result. This applies only to issues you cause; it does not cover my own wrongdoing.

If something goes wrong, please just reach out. Most things are easily sorted out between people. Contact me first and we'll try, in good faith, to resolve it informally. I would much rather fix a problem directly than turn it into a formal dispute.

I operate as an individual creator based in California, USA, so to the extent any law needs to apply to these Terms, the laws of the State of California apply, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in full force and effect.

I may update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective when posted to this page, and the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. The Terms in effect at the time you book, buy, download, or subscribe apply to that transaction. Please check back and make sure you still agree before you engage with me or buy anything from me.
