Pay-what-you-want guide
And the stupidly simple way you can too.
I built an audience of more than seventy thousand people with a formula so simple it sounds like a joke. No studio. No team. No secret viral hack. Just one small thing, done every day, for real.
Here it is. All of it. Nothing held back. You paid what you wanted for this, so I'm going to make sure it was worth it.
Show up every day and post one short video that sounds like a FaceTime call to your best friend.
That's the engine. Everything else in this guide just protects that one habit and turns it into a living.
Do this today: Record one 90-second video and post it. Don't overthink it. The rep matters more than the result.
Social media is not public speaking. You're not on a stage in front of a crowd. It's a one-way, one-to-one conversation between you and a single person watching on the other side of a screen. Talk to that one person. The crowd is an illusion. The friend is real.
Before you post anything, the basics: never share personally identifying information. No exact location, no home address, no financial details, no social security number, none of it. Be findable as a person, never as a target. Safety isn't optional. It's the price of playing in public.
Point your content at what genuinely lights you up, first. If it feels like a chore, you'll quit. Guaranteed. The only content strategy that survives contact with real life is the one you actually enjoy making. Your joy is the fuel. Protect it.
Stop trying to go viral. Start trying to find your people. Deliver real value, consistently, to the specific humans you're for, and the algorithm will do the rest. These systems are built to connect people with what they respond to. Give them something worth responding to and they'll carry you straight to your tribe.
You don't need millions. Do the math:
That's a living. That's it. You're not chasing fame. You're looking for a few hundred real people who get value from you.
Start with one digital download that compresses your hard-won experience into something easy to consume. Exactly like this guide you're reading right now. One clear thing that solves one real problem.
Once that's working, build a grid offer so there's a way in at every level:
Four tiers: something for the curious, something for the committed, something for the serious, and an open door for everyone else.
Then listen. Here's the truth nobody tells you: almost nobody will read or watch all of your stuff. But the handful who do? That is your target market. Study them. Ask them directly for feedback. They will teach you how you're actually being perceived, which is worth more than any analytics dashboard. Build your next offer out of what they tell you.
Expect to fail. Everything you want is on the other side of rejection, every single time. So here's the reframe that sets you free:
If all you needed was one yes, and you knew for a fact that yes was waiting right after 99 people said no, how fast would you run to collect those 99 no's?
You'd sprint. So sprint. Rejection isn't the obstacle. Rejection is the path. Go get your no's.
Stop using shame as a motivator. It doesn't work, and it will hollow you out. Stop judging yourself for the videos that flop, for the slow days, for starting late. None of it matters. Be consistent, but never force yourself to grind on something you genuinely hate. Consistency built on self-punishment collapses. Consistency built on something you love compounds forever.
You won't find your voice on day one. You find it through reps and small tweaks, one video at a time. And remember: you can rebrand at any moment. As long as you're not under contract, you're free. Nothing you post locks you in. Keep adjusting until it fits.
Block the haters. Mute the noise. Protect your attention like it's the most valuable thing you own, because it is. The people throwing rocks are not your tribe and never will be. Spend zero energy on them.
Let your emotions inform the journey instead of running it. Trust yourself. Trust your gut. When that small voice inside says wait, honor it. And when that same voice says go?
Go. Right now. Don't wait for permission, don't wait until you're ready, don't wait until it's perfect.
GO.
It's simple, which is not the same as easy. The hard part is showing up tomorrow, and the day after, when no one is watching yet. Do that, and one day a lot of people will be.
